Ceramic Restorations and Smile Design
Utilizing Digital Tools and Technology

Course Description:

Ceramic bonded restorations are one of the most reliable treatments we can offer in dentistry. This course will demonstrate how digital technologies can improve the accuracy, efficiency and predictability for all your anterior cases. See how smile design relates to proper prep design and how fabrication of trial smiles helps motivate patients and allows the clinician to verify occlusal and esthetic planning. Understand the importance of reduction guides for tooth preparation and how the accuracy of intraoral scanning will change the way you restore smiles. This course will demonstrate easy to replicate techniques that you and your team can utilize the next day in your practice. Reduce stress, improve efficiency and predictability while maintaining the quality you and your patients deserve.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the importance of digital photos and how using a digital smile design system relates to case acceptance, case planning and excellent lab communication as well as helping to create beautiful smiles for your patients.

2. Learn a simple method of using mock ups and trial smiles for proper esthetic, occlusal evaluation and fabrication of reduction guides that help when preparing teeth for “minimal prep” porcelain veneer restorations.

3. See how the accuracy and efficiency of modern digital systems can be integrated into the office and laboratory workflow to improve the predictability and quality of all indirect ceramic restorations.
