MEET YOUR NEACD BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. David Ward – President
Dr. David Ward is the President of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry for 30 years. His office, in Woonsocket, RI, provides general dentistry with a focus on cosmetic and implant services. He is a proud member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (associate fellow) The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Dental Association and the Rhode Island dental Association.
Dr. Ward is also a member of The Pierre Fauchard Academy, a dental honor society, and was recently inducted into the International College of Dentists. He and his wife Michelle live in Pascoag, RI and just celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary. They have 3 children, Samantha (who just joined the practice after graduating from Tufts in May, 2018), Jonathan (who works in the office making Planmeca crowns and bridges) and Alexandra (who is finishing her masters and will begin Dental school at Tufts in 2019). Dr. Ward enjoys spending time with his friends and family more than just about anything!!
Dr. Marty Zase – President-Elect/Treasurer
Dr. Marty Zase is the President-Elect of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a past-president of the NEACD. Dr. Zase received his Bachelor of Arts from Boston University and his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is guest lecturer in cosmetic dentistry at the University of Connecticut, Nova Southeastern University, New York University, and Louisiana State University Dental Schools. He has published over sixty dental articles, has served on the editorial or review boards of numerous dental magazines, and lectures internationally on cosmetic dentistry.
Marty Zase was a disc jockey for eight years before becoming a dentist and is an instrument rated pilot. He is a diehard Red Sox fan, an avid reader, a less than adequate golfer, and a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute, Starfleet Academy, and the Landmark Education Forum and Curriculum for Living.
He is one of only about a dozen dentists in the world to have both a Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry and an Accreditation in Cosmetics from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He practices in the Colchester, Connecticut and is the only dentist in the greater Hartford area Accredited by the AACD. He was the 2006-2007 President of the AACD, the largest cosmetic dentistry organization in the world. He serves on the AACD Board of Accreditation Examiners and mentors Accreditation candidates. He was the 2015 recipient of the AACD’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
He has developed numerous techniques and instruments that are currently used in modern cosmetic dentistry. He has taken advanced training in oral conscious sedation to provide dentistry with the absolute minimal of patient discomfort. He has been granted fellowships in the American College of Dentists (FACD), the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics (FADFE), and the AGD has awarded him the Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition Award for his contributions to dentistry and dental education. He has been selected by Dentistry Today magazine as one of the Top Clinicians in Dental Continuing Education for the past twelve years in a row. Dr. Zase lives in Glastonbury, Connecticut, practices in the Colchester Dental Group and is available online at Martyzase@aol.com.

Dr. Frank Michitti – Secretary
Dr. Frank Michitti is the Secretary of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He practices dentistry in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. In 2006, Dr. Michitti graduated from Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He is very passionate about dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. To further enhance his knowledge and skills in the field of dentistry, Dr. Michitti completed advance courses at the Dawson Academy and is an active participant of the Spears Study Clubs. He has also been awarded the honor of Mastership of Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Michitti lives in Connecticut with his wife, two very active children, and dog, Brutus. On the weekends, he can be found by the pool cheering his children at their swim meets, or skiing down the mountains with his family during the winter.
Dr. Michael Szarek
Dr. Szarek is a past-president of the NEACD who graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine in 1994 followed by a one year General Practice Residency at St.
Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He has a General and Cosmetic dental practice in Lowell, MA. inspired by the AACD and Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Szarek is an Accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member of the ADA, AGD, Massachusetts Dental Society and Past President of the Greater Lowell Dental Society. He enjoys golf, fishing, hunting, skiing, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Randy Burba
Dr. Burba is a past-president of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (NEACD), and has been a board member of the NEACD since 2003. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and currently serves on the Professional Education Committee of the AACD. He is also an accredited member of the AACD, making him one of only 10 dentists to hold this distinction in all of New England.
Dr Burba is a 1991 graduate of Providence College and a 1995 graduate of the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine. He has a practice in Salem Massachusetts with his father, Dr. Stanley Burba, which focuses on advanced cosmetic dentistry in a dental spa atmosphere. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Mass Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Burba is married to Dr. Patricia Burba
D.M.D. they have three children, Katelyn, Rachel, and Ryan. He enjoys boating, fishing, scuba diving, woodworking, painting, drawing, and being a father.
Dr. Anthony Storace
Dr. Anthony Storace graduated from Tufts where he also instructed in the Department of Oral Medicine. He has retired as the senior doctor in a large multi-provider practice in Nashua, NH. He obtained his AGD Masters with the first NE Masters Study Club class, completed the Dawson Continuum, the Schuster Practice Management Program and is one of the original members of the Southern NH Spear Study Club. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, serving as the NE Section past chair and current treasurer. He was honored as the 2018 Thomas Winkler Awardee in leadership. He is also a fellow in the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentists International. Dr. Storace has also served as past president of the NH Dental Society, the NH Academy of General Dentistry, as well as serving on local, state, regional and national dental committees.
Besides managing the practice for over 38 years, Tony has contributed to various civic organizations and community programs. He is currently the chair of the Nashua Board of Health for the last 24 years, Nashua Seniors Count Advisory Board and the Nashua High School Health Occupations Committee. He has served on the Mayor’s Review and Comment Committee, Nashua Senior Center Board of Directors, Nashua Catholic Jr. High Advisory Board, Make-a-Wish Foundation of NH and coached a championship Cal Ripken baseball team. Tony continues to instruct senior high school students in a very successful and ground breaking internship program for future dental assistants and hygienists. He also mentors dental students at various universities and mentors young people starting out in businesses outside of dentistry.
Dr. Bill Cummiskey
Dr. Cummiskey graduated from Rockford University in 1990. He then graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1994. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Mt. Sinai/St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT in 1995. He then completed a second General Practice Residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT in 1996.
He now practices as a solo dentist at Generations Dental Care in Enfield, CT since 2008. He belongs to American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry and DOCS Education. He is married with three young children. He enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, skiing, golf and playing soccer.
Dr. Janice Spada
Dr. Janice Spada is a 1978 graduate of Boston College and a 1982 graduate of Boston University Henry M Goldman School of Dentistry. She has practiced in the private and public health sector prior becoming sole proprietor of her dental practice in Sudbury, Massachusetts in 1987. She is a member of the AACD, AGD, ADA, Massachusetts Dental Society and is a Faculty Club Member of the Spear Institute. Dr Spada is proud of her daughter Alexandra who is completing her PhD at ASU in Geology. When Dr. Spada is not creating smiles in her office, she creates laughter from community theatre stages while performing in plays in her area. She enjoys fishing, golfing, hiking and photography.
Dr. Janice Spada has been a scientific co-chair for the Yankee Dental Congress. She has served as the secretary for the Massachusetts Women Dental Society. Dr. Spada has held several offices in the Metropolitan District Dental Society. She has presented lectures in the Minuteman Series of Yankee Dental as well as for the Young Dentist Society.
Dr. Jean Resnevic
Dr. Resnevic graduated summa cum laude from Temple Dental School in Philadelphia, where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She completed an AEGD at the University of Michigan, and then practiced in Texas for several years before moving back to her home state of RI. She joined a family legacy as a third generation doctor to serve the community of Chepachet, RI. Dr. Resnevic is a member of the American Dental Association, Rhode Island Dental Association, and Pierre Fauchard Academy. She was featured in Benco Dental’s “Top 40 Dentists under 40” and voted as a RI Monthly magazine “Top Doc.” With a background as an undergraduate Fine Arts major, Dr. Resnevic loves the artistic aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. Outside of the office, Dr. Resnevic enjoys time with her husband and daughter and challenging them to keep up with her sense of adventure, whether it is climbing up mountains or down into volcanos.
Dr. Matt Giulianelli
Dr Giulianelli graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2005 and went on to complete a GPR at Boston Medical Center in 2005.
Matt loves almost all aspects of dentistry, but clinically he is most passionate about implants and cosmetics. In 2011 he was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2013/2014, he studied with Carl Misch in both prosthetics and surgery and earned his Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. His next goals for clinical excellence are Accreditation in the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Diplomat in the ICOI.
Matt also absolutely finds real joy in helping other dentists achieve their goals in both their personal and professional lives. Recently, he has started to coach doctors in the Blatchford Solutions coaching program.
His other hobby outside of dentistry is Aviation. He is a private pilot and is currently training for his instrument rating. He practices with his wife Kadam, also a dentist, in South Burlington, Vermont. They have two young children and have lots of adventures together.
