Our mission is to empower the Cosmetic Dentists and Laboratory Technicians of New England by providing opportunities to develop the skills and knowledge to satisfy the public demand for excellence in cosmetic dentistry, while promoting the professional relationships, education and networking to support this mission.
MEET YOUR NEACD BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. Frank Michitti – President
Dr. Frank Michitti is the President of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He practices dentistry in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. In 2006, Dr. Michitti graduated from Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Michitti is known for providing patients a pain-free experience in a non-judgmental environment. He is very passionate about dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. To further enhance his knowledge and skills in the field of dentistry, Dr. Michitti completed advanced courses at the Dawson Academy and is an active participant of the Spears Study Clubs. He has also been awarded the honor of Mastership of Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Michitti lives in Connecticut with his wife, two very active children. On the weekends, he can be found by the pool cheering his children at their swim meets, or skiing down the mountains with his family during the winter.
Dr. David Ward – President-Elect/Treasurer
Dr. David Ward is the President-Elect/Treasurer of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry for 31 years. Dr. Ward received his Bachelor of Arts from RI College and his DMD from Tufts University in 1989. His office, in Woonsocket, R.I., provides general Dentistry with a focus on Cosmetic and Advanced Implant services. He is a proud member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (Associate Fellow), The American Dental Association and the Rhode Island Dental Association. Dr. Ward is also a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, a dental honor society, and is the Deputy Regent for the International College of Dentists. He and his wife Michelle live in Pascoag, R.I. They have 3 children, Samantha, a 2018 graduate of Tufts Dental who works with him, Jonathan, who works in the office as a technician for the CAD/CAM crowns, and Alexandra who is in her second year at Tufts Dental School. Dr. Ward enjoys spending time with family and friends more than just about anything.
Dr. Matt Giulianelli -Secretary
Dr Giulianelli graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2005 and went on to complete a GPR at Boston Medical Center in 2005. Matt loves almost all aspects of dentistry, but clinically he is most passionate about implants and cosmetics. In 2011 he was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2013/2014, he studied with Carl Misch in both prosthetics and surgery and earned his Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. His next goals for clinical excellence are Accreditation in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Diplomat in the ICOI. Matt also absolutely finds real joy in helping other dentists achieve their goals in both their personal and professional lives. He helps doctors achieve their goals in the personal and professional lives with Blatchford Solutions coaching program. His other hobby outside of dentistry is Aviation. He is an instrument rated private pilot. He practices with his wife Kadam, also a dentist, in South Burlington, Vermont. They have two children and have lots of adventures together as a family.
Dr. Randy Burba
Dr. Burba is a past-president of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (NEACD), and has been a board member of the NEACD since 2003. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and currently serves on the Professional Education Committee of the AACD. He is also an accredited member of the AACD, making him one of only 10 dentists to hold this distinction in all of New England. Dr Burba is a 1991 graduate of Providence College and a 1995 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He has a practice in Salem Massachusetts with his father, Dr. Stanley Burba, which focuses on advanced cosmetic dentistry in a dental spa atmosphere. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Mass Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Burba is married to Dr. Patricia Burba D.M.D. They have three children, Katelyn, Rachel, and Ryan. He enjoys boating, fishing, scuba diving, woodworking, painting, drawing, and being a father.
Dr. Islam Dehis
Dr. Dehis was born in Egypt and is new to the board. He received his Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery from Cairo University. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the same school. Islam completed his second dental degree at Boston University School of Oral and Dental Medicine, where he received his DMD degree with honors in 2005. Islam is married to his college sweetheart, Yasmine, who happens to be a dentist as well. Between his wife’s education and his, Islam had to travel extensively across North America. He had the good fortune of practicing in Ontario-Canada, Michigan, and New York. He splits his practices between Putnam-CT, Whitinsville-MA, and Fitchburg-MA. Islam is blessed to be a proud citizen of Canada and the US. He now calls Shrewsbury home. Islam completed IV Conscious Sedation Certification from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has continued to advance his aesthetic dentistry by participating in “SPEAR Education” and the “Aesthetic Advantage Continuum” at the Rosenthal Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry. He is actively pursuing the “Fellowship” award of the AGD. Becoming an “Accredited Fellow” of the AACD is the next significant professional achievement he is working on. He loves Boating, Fishing, and woodworking. His biggest passion is his daughter Farida and his son Yousuf.
Radhee Sheth
Radhee Sheth attended dental school at Roseman University of Health Sciences in Utah, where she graduated with certifications in Invisalign and Oral Sedation, as well as over 80 hours of continuing education credits.
Dr. Sheth has continued to expand her knowledge of dentistry through numerous conferences and continuing education programs. She has completed rigorous training under the mentorship of Dr. David Hornbrook, one of the world’s leading cosmetic dentists. She is a general member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Clear Aligners, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association as well as the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry where she is on the Board of Directors. She is also on track to become both a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a graduate of the prestigious Kois Center.
Outside the office, Dr. Sheth is a former collegiate tennis player with interests in art, rock climbing, and yoga. She enjoys traveling with her husband, Samir, and recently picked up CrossFit.
Dr. Marty Zase
Dr. Marty Zase was the President of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry from 2014-2018 and 2020-2022. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors as he has since 2008. Dr. Zase received his Bachelor of Arts from Boston University and his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is guest lecturer in cosmetic dentistry at the University of Connecticut, Nova Southeastern University, New York University, and Louisiana State University Dental Schools. He has published over sixty dental articles, has served on the editorial or review boards of numerous dental magazines, and lectures internationally on cosmetic dentistry. Marty Zase was a disc jockey for eight years before becoming a dentist and is an instrument rated pilot. He is a diehard Red Sox fan, an avid reader, a less than adequate golfer, and a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute, Starfleet Academy, and the Landmark Education Forum and Curriculum for Living. He is one of only about a dozen dentists in the world to have both a Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry and an Accreditation in Cosmetics from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He practices in the Colchester, Connecticut and is the only dentist in the greater Hartford area Accredited by the AACD. He was the 2006-2007 President of the AACD, the largest cosmetic dentistry organization in the world. He serves on the AACD Board of Accreditation Examiners and mentors Accreditation candidates. He was the 2015 recipient of the AACD’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He is also the only dentist in Connecticut Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry. He has developed numerous techniques and instruments that are currently used in modern cosmetic dentistry. He has taken advanced training in oral conscious sedation to provide dentistry with the absolute minimal of patient discomfort. He has been granted fellowships in the American Society for Dental Aesthetics (FASDA), American College of Dentists (FACD), the Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA), the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics (FADFE), and the AGD has twice awarded him the Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition Award for his contributions to dentistry and dental education. He was selected by Dentistry Today magazine as one of the Top Clinicians in Dental Continuing Education for the past fourteen years in a row. Dr. Zase lives in Glastonbury, Connecticut, practices in the Colchester Dental Group and is available online at Martyzase@aol.com.
